What bugs me most about Ciani is that we only get to see her so briefly. It's this chapter, then another two or three appearances, but that's it. She never becomes real as a whole (or mostly whole, minus the memories lost in the first attack) person before she gets turned around again. I could have liked this version of Ciani, but not the reduced one from later.
