That actually was more an example of my pet peeves slipping out. :) I have a problem with characters like him when the author shows no self-awareness that certain qualities could be less than desirable.

Or to put it another way, hypocrisy bugs the hell out of me (enough that I hate even making that statement because I'm sure we're all hypocrites occasionally), and I'm glad that Andrys' attitude seems to be something we're not just supposed to accept as fine.
