If the Coldfire series was set within/fused with Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials 'verse, what kind of daemons do you think the main characters would have?

Personally, I think Gerald would be some kind of cat, but that's far too obvious. The man is manipulation personified, and I doubt an expression of his soul would be that straightforward.

oooh awesome question! I think Tarrant would have a raven - sort of a death omen and sinister and civilized at the same time - I can actually see Damien having a wolf for some reason...something big and able to handle itself in a fight anyway...
