I'm sure Gerald would agree with this
Aug. 28th, 2014 08:18 pmA quote I came across today while reading a book and it made me think of Gerald Tarrant. The author of the Coldfire Trilogy never mentions how Gerald managed to secure his position in the court of the king and lead social reforms and establish a church with followers and influence. He must have made a lot of enemies in the course of achieving his goals.
“The lion cannot protect himself from traps, and the fox cannot defend himself from wolves. One must therefore be a fox to recognize traps, and a lion to frighten wolves.”
